Lauro Bath

Lauro Bath is the Channel Lead for VMware in Sub-Saharan Africa. In his role, he works with the local channel, developing winning programmes to help solve customers’ major business and IT challenges. He works closely with the Global Partner Alliances team to support partners’ go-to-market activities for the African market.

With extensive experience in developing sales and marketing strategies across the ICT sector, Lauro assists customers and partners to deliver channel-centric programmes. He plays a pivotal role in supporting the way vendors and their channel partners sell IT, and helps customers realise how a Cross-Cloud architecture,  mobility solutions, the Software-Defined Data Center and a hybrid cloud strategy can all support digital transformation.

Prior to joining VMware in 2013, he worked in the US and Australia for XMPro as Vice President for Sales and Marketing. Other notable positions include Group Sales Director for ComputerCorp in Australia and Regional Manager of Symantec in sub-Saharan Africa. He has more than 20 years of experience in ICT and is passionate about fuelling partner revenue growth and the development of new skills through mentorship. This led to him being awarded the Winner of the Top Talent Award from VMware’s President Circle.
